Donald Moore Joins Colorado Access Board of Directors

DENVER – Colorado Access announced today that Donald Moore has been elected to its Board of Directors. Moore is the CEO of Pueblo Community Health Center (PCHC) and will join the board in August of this year.

“We are excited to welcome Donald to the Board and benefit from his vast experience in community health,” said Carl Clark MD, chair of the board of directors. “Donald and PCHC have worked tirelessly in the Pueblo area to deliver quality primary health care to more than 28,000 Puebloans every year.”

Moore joins the board with extensive experience and background in the field. He has served as chief executive officer of the Pueblo Community Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center, since 2009. From 1999 to 2009 he served as the PCHC chief operations officer and directed its administrative and clinical support services. He obtained his Master of Healthcare Administration degree in 1992 from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. Moore is a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives, and a member of its Certification Committee.

In addition to serving as the executive leader of PCHC, Moore has extensive volunteer, nonprofit governance experience, which includes serving on the boards of Colorado Community Health Network (public affairs chair), Colorado Community Managed Care Network (chair), Community Health Provider Network (board member), Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment (president), Pueblo Triple Aim Corporation (president), and Southeast Colorado Area Health Education Center (vice chair).

The Colorado Access board of directors is comprised of health care industry experts, community leaders, and community representatives who volunteer their time and contribute their knowledge and expertise to lead Colorado Access. They are passionate about community health and, in many cases, they have dedicated their entire careers to creating a healthier Colorado.
