Bobby King Appointed to Denver Health Community Health Services Board of Directors
Colorado Access Vice President of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Adds Expertise to Board Working Toward Healthy and Inclusive Communities
AURORA, Colo. — Colorado Access has announced that Bobby King, who serves as vice president of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) for the public sector health plan serving Health First Colorado and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) populations, has been appointed to the Denver Health Community Health Services board.
In his role at Colorado Access, King is responsible for the strategic leadership, direction, and accountability of internal and external DE&I initiatives. He oversees the implementation of strategic priorities in areas including members, providers, health care systems, workplace, procurement, regulatory, and community. The nonprofit organization is committed to diversity of cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives. As part of this commitment, it partners with communities to empower people through access to quality, equitable, and affordable care.

King brings more than 25 years of experience in high-tech, municipal government, and health care roles. His expertise spans people services operations, executive search, business process improvement, systems redesign, cultural change, DE&I, cultural responsiveness, supplier diversity, leadership, training, and organizational effectiveness.
King is also currently serving on the board of directors for the Liv Project and was recently named Chair of the White Bison Foundation. He received the Denver Business Journal’s inaugural Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Leadership award in 2022.
