Colorado Access is excited to introduce William (Bill) Horner as the new Executive Director of Access Advantage, the company's Medicare line of business. Access Advantage offers a Special Needs Plan (SNP) for individuals who are eligible for both Medicare and Medicaid.

Mr. Horner has served in the healthcare industry for 30 years. He joined Colorado Access from Rochester General Hospital, where he was the Chief Operating Officer (COO). Prior to that, he worked at Banner Health for 25 years, where he was the Associate Administrator and Regional Director of Managed Care. Mr. Horner earned his BA in Finance from Arizona State and his MBA from Colorado State University.

"I purposefully looked at safety net organizations like Colorado Access to spend the last decade of my career. I had job offers from various organizations, but picked Colorado Access because of the breath of services it provides for kids, for people who have Medicaid and/or Medicare. I want to use my experiences and knowledge to serve the underserved community."

Mr. Horner is committed to strengthening the professionalism and business discipline of Access Advantage as the base for continuous improvements and growth. On his free time, Mr. Horner volunteers at the Humane Society and enjoys hiking with his wife. He is also a rosarian. He grows and judges roses for the American Rose Society.
