Denver, CO – Colorado Access announced today that it has been awarded full Health Plan accreditation from URAC, a Washington DC-based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the health care industry. The Health Plan accreditation standards focus on provider network management, credentialing, member relations, utilization management, and quality management.

"Colorado Access is committed to serving our members and providers with unparalleled quality and integrity," said Marshall Thomas, CEO and Chief Medical Officer at Colorado Access. "We are all very pleased to receive such recognition. Colorado Access works extensively to uphold our commitment to our community. I am very proud to lead such talented and compassionate employees. By achieving URAC accreditation, we have demonstrated our first-class efforts and excellent customer service."

To achieve full URAC accreditation, Colorado Access was required to demonstrate services offered to members, establish goals, showcase performances related to access of care, availability of providers and provider selection criteria. The organization also demonstrated the use of their policies, procedures and organizational structure.
