Colorado Access is the new Behavioral Health Organization (BHO) for northeast Colorado. This change began on July 1, 2014.
Your Medicaid benefits include behavioral health services. You are automatically enrolled as an Access Behavioral Care Northeast member if you live in one of these counties: Cheyenne, Elbert, Larimer, Lincoln, Logan, Kit Carson, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld, or Yuma. What is the change?
Behavioral health services for Medicaid members are now covered by the Access Behavioral Care program that is part of Colorado Access. Northeast Behavioral Health Partnership is no longer the behavioral health organization for Medicaid members in Cheyenne, Elbert, Kit Carson, Larimer, Lincoln, Logan, Morgan, Phillips, Sedgwick, Washington, Weld, and Yuma counties.
Does this affect my Medicaid?
No, your Medicaid benefits will not change. Your Medicaid benefits include behavioral health services.
Will I be able to keep seeing the same doctor and providers?
Colorado Access has a large network of providers that you can choose from. In most cases, you can still see the same behavioral health care providers you are seeing now. Colorado Access will work with you if you are seeing a provider that is not part of their network.
Do I have to do anything?
No, you do not need to do anything to keep getting your Medicaid behavioral health benefits. Your Medicaid benefits will not change.
